I have a scratched eye. was in antibiotic drops for 5 days. now an ointment but it does not seem to be healing. how long after starting the ointment should i see improvement? how long will my eyes be red? is it normal for stinging and discharge?

Hard to know. The expected recovery period would depend on where on the eye the scratch is, how deep, how treated. Redness can be a reaction to the scratch or the eye drops. I would follow-up with a call to the treating doc if you are not responding. At least they have the benefit of doing an exam, or did they tret without one?
