Ophthalmologist: This may be contact lens induced, a gp would not be able to tell if this were the case.

See doctor now: Please do not wear your contacts if having itchy sensations, discharge, and reddening of your eyes. I suggest seeing your ophthalmologist. Your contacts or your cleaning solution could be irritating your eyes, or you could have an eye infection. Alternative possibility could be more systemic allergies, but first things first. Good luck.

D/c contacts: Try wearing your glasses for awhile until symptoms resolve. I presume you are experiencing allergies to something, and a trial of over the counter zaditor™ two times daily for several days should help to calm down the symptoms. Also warm compresses and lid hygiene if any matter is accumulating on lashes. If not sufficiently better after several days, an eye exam to see if contact lens related.
