I get recurrent upper intestine bloating & inflammation due to hyperacidity. constipation at times also adds up to the overall discomfort. doctor says gastritis & prescibe pantoprazole which does fix it but is there any better medicine for this?

H. pylori needs to be ruled out as the cause of your gastritis. If you have this condition, you need to be treated with a combined regimen for 2 weeks. Without H. pylori, you can take pantoprazole for 2 months then stop and pay attention to foods which trigger the pain. Active life, exercise, adequate fluid intake, high fiber foods, +/- stool softener are the answers for fighting constipation.
