I have mirena iud since 4/2017 (5 years). i am 48 now, unsure if i have started menapause, cause i dont have a period. is it safe to wait 2 more years for removal/ replcmnt? i don't have health insurance right now?

Yes, you can leave it in for another 2 years, it is safe and it is still effective by the last FDA recommendation in 2021. Furthermore, by your age and with the history of recent amenorrhea, your chance of conception is negligible.

Mirena IUD can work up to 7yrs. So you can leave it in for now till you Know that you have menopause.
