The vast majority of moles are benign and mote develop as we age, a purely genetic phenomenon. To determine if a NEW mole requires a skin check by an HCP, looks for these signs 1) rapid increase in size grows 25% or more in a month, 2) changes color 3) irregular borders, 4) ulcers or sores, 5) satellite moles, 6 bleeding. Basically, moles thst change should be checked.
