Woke up after restful sleep suddenly having my right nostril very congested with bright yellow mucus. my left nostril is totally clear. few days go by and still right is yellow + stuffed, congestion headache now too. why is only one stuffed + yellow?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You may have a deviated nasal septum, not uncommon, but it could explain the predominantly unilateral symptoms. If it does not get better in 7-10 days, it would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably an ENT doctor. Wish you good health!
