A member asked:

I have dyshidrotic eczema really bad on my left hand right now. for a couple weeks off and on i have been pouring hydrogen peroxide on it to dry the skin out multiple times a day. is it okay to use the hydrogen peroxide like this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

the skin problem is aggravated by excess moisture. Hydrogen peroxide turns to water after releasing an oxygen molecule. As long as you dry the area completely after use, I don't think it would be harmful. I wouldn't consider it a very effective treatment, but if you feel it works, do it.
