A member asked:

I've been told i have t2 diabetes. my hbac1 levels were 6.6, i'm from ireland, i'm wondering does this mean i'll need medication cause i'd rather work with my diet first?

A HgbA1c og 6.6 is considered diabetic meaning that 6.6% of the hemoglobin in your blood is saturated with sugar. I recommend trying lifestyle changes & not medication at this time. Stop all concentrated carbohydrates like sweets, candies, pastries, syrups, sweetened sodas, very sugary fruits like watermelon& reduce starches like bread, pasta, rice, etc. Reach ideal weight & exercise.See dietician also
