A severe ankle break, with multiple surgeries. can continued issues with pain, the range of motion of ankle required for squatting, twisting, standing or walking for long periods of time, be considered restrictions when trying to return back to work?

Depends on what you do for "work". Each job has different requirements. A desk job where you sit all day is different than a job where you stand all day. If your current job requires you to stand most of the time, you may want to consider a position that allows you to sit more than you stand.

It depends what you do. If your job requires you to be on your feet or walking it certainly becomes a disability. However if your work is sedentary it probably will not. Good Luck
