I am experiencing knee pain (above patella) in certain positions. i can walk pain free but it is painful getting up from a squat or when i extend my leg when sitting. there is no swelling or heat. ?

Sounds like: a problem with the underside of the patella which constitutes a part of the knee joint called the "anterior component" Injury to this is an inflammation which could respond to an injection of steroid. Consult your GP ho may wish to refer you to an Orthopedist,
