Yellow skin (maybe): Gilbert's is caused by a problem with an enzyme that works on bilirubin. The liver needs this enzyme to change bilirubin so it can be removed by the kidneys. People with gilbert's usually have an elevated unconjugated bilirubin on a blood test. In general, it causes no symptoms, but depending on the bili level, people can have jaundice (yellow skin). Maybe itching if that level is high enough.

Not many.: Most of the gilbert syndrome patients do not have any signs or symptoms. Mild unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia (high bilrubin- jaundice pigment) is usually noted during "routine" blood tests. Nelson's text book of pediatrics lists mild abdominal pain as a possible symptom. An association with pyloric stenosis and gilbert syndrome is also described (wyllie and hyams' text book pediatric GI disease).
