I was diagnosed with pyelonephritis and a uti. i have one antibiotic left and i am not feeling any better at all. i have a large amount of wbc in my urine i have asthma and i keep having difficulty breathing. why am i not feeling better?

Hard to say. Was your antibiotic chosen after sensitivity testing to make sure it would work, or just given based on a UA? Antibiotics for pyelonephritis won't make asthma better, asthma treatments do. You need to confer with your treating doc & share these concerns. A change of treatment appears to be needed.

Pyelonephritis is infection of the Kidney (Upper UTI) and usually causes fever chills and pain in the kidney and it requires vigorous treatment. If that is what you have you should be treated by a Urologist. Pl see one now or go to the ER. I hope you feel better
