A member asked:

Is it normal to have an area of skin that's painful to touch, very sensitive? i've had this a few times and it lasts a couple of days... then goes away... is this serious? i'm concerned because i read it's ms?? no other symptoms and not sick?

If there's no obvious skin injury or inflammation then your brain is overreacting to skin stimulation. The brain does communicates with your skin. Since your symptom is intermittent I wouldn't worry about MS ,fibromyalgia or neuropathy as causes. A pain management specialist could evaluate & advise you if you still have concerns.
