In december 2021 i had a left hip replacement. in 2017 i had a right hip replacement. i now have ischial bursitis and have tried a cortisone shot but did not get much relief. can the bursitis be surgical removed or drained?

If steroid injection fails to relieve the pain significantly the diagnosis of ischial bursitis is in question, especially you have history of hip replacement. If you were already evaluated by an orthopedist you may need a second opinion. If the doctor gave you the shot is not an orthopedist, you need to see one.
