Sleep disturbances in 2 year olds are common. Sometimes, they are undergoing rapid growth and need an additional quantity of food or meal to suppement them during this time. Other causes can include changes to their normal schedule, problems at home, too much TV/Screentime, Illness. A temporary period of extended soothing will not make a negative problem in the long run.
