I believe so: Most screening tests use urine to test for cotinine, a metabolite of nicotine. The urine test should be negative within 2-4 days of your last cigarettes. For heavy smokers, it might take longer but nearly everybody will have a negative cotinine test, equivalent to a non-smoker, in 7-10 days. I doubt it will be used, but nicotine remains in hair for months. Good luck with your quitting effort!
