Breast feeding a newborn will not be affected by treatment for your dental abscess.

You will not pass any germs in your abscess through the breastmilk. Let the dentist know you are breastfeeding. The common antibiotics used in dental abscesses after tooth extraction are usually okay to take while breastfeeding.
