History of bad dry eye, floaters & sometimes flashes in 1 eye. ophthalmologist dilated & put a device directly on eye to look for retinal tears. found none. flashes are gone for now. will this ultimately lead to detachment?

It would be prudent to consult a retina specialist as retinal tears, especially anterior ones can be hard to spot.
