If truly positive for HSV2, even without outbreaks, sexual transmission to partners definitely is possible. HSV1 is less frequently transmitted in absence of outbreaks. Many positive HSV2 blood test results are false -- it depends on the numerical value of the test result. You may need confirmatory testing. Find a doctor or clinic experienced in genital herpes and HSV2. Good luck.
