A member asked:

In complete blood count, all values are in normal range except for rdw-cv which is 11.1% while the normal range is 11.5%-14.5% is it a problem that it is a little bit lower?

Likely OK, but it depends! It is reassuring that the rest of your CBC is normal. However, we do not know why you had this test done, what medical conditions you may have, and what medications you may be taking. For the best answer, talk to the doctor who ordered the test. He/She may repeat the test later to see if the abnormality persists.

it is not a problem. Have a healthy diet, exercise regularly, get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health.

I must confess that I never found the red cell distribution width any help in the assessment of anemia. A low RDW means that all your red blood cells are the same size which is fine.
