Hello! how common is hiv transmission from female to male? i read 1 in 2500 is that rare or low risk? ive tested negative with rapid test at three months and the a lab 4th generation test at 6 months both negative?

~20 years ago, CDC estimated one HIV transmission per 2,500 episodes of unprotected vaginal sex with infected women. If there's a 1% chance the woman has HIV, the risk is 1 in 250,000. Actual risk can be a lot higher or lower depending on duration of her infection, HIV treatment, other STI. Regardless of the risk when you had sex, your test results are 100% conclusive.
