Is a 4th gen hiv duo test prone to lab mishaps? for example, improper procedures which would cause a potential positive test to be read as negative? ive taken numerous tests, last one being 40 days since exposure. labs were done by well known lab?

All tests can have mishaps. So always repeat to be sure. Better yet do three and average.

Lab mishaps are rate. You are likely to be free of HIV, To be on the safe side, please repeat the test in a month or so. Wish you good health.
