Have been taking trazodone for sleep for five years. sex drive has been non-existent the last two years. is it possible the trazodone is causing this? i had no issues for the first three years. can side effects come on years later?

Increased Libido (Sex Drive) is one of the side effects listed of Trazodone, not low sex drive, but non-listed side effects can occur & can occur later on also, but in your case, it is happening after 3 yrs, this is kind of very late, maybe there are some other factors playing a role in decreased libido.

Unusual to take this for insomnia. No it will not cause ED. You should be investigated for other causes for loss of libido- which can be caused by many things. In the meantime also look for the cause of your insomnia and other ways of treating it. Good luck
