Flatulogenic foods and your overall diet are most likely the cause of gas and thin stools. The risk of colon cancer increases as people age, but can occasionally occur in young adults and teenagers. The vast majority of cases occur in people older than 50.

passing gas is not a sign of colon cancer. Stool thickness can vary with kind and amount of stool and diet. If still worried have your MD do a sool exam for blood. I think you will be fine.
