What is crocodile tears syndrome, my 93 year old mom, very healthy, gets tears and burning in her eyes whenever she eats..never had a stroke or bells palsey, what would cause this? is it something serious! could it be croc tears? she wont see a doc?

It only affects one eye which is not in the case of your mom. I think she has problem with bilateral tear ducts along with increased tear production with smell during eating, almost comparable to people who have runny nose or sweating during meal.
