Are you taking any other diabetic medications? Janumet on its own doesn't usually cause hypoglycemia. Since we don't know your complete clinical history your physician would be best to answer your question & give you instructions. If you're unable to reach him/ her or a covering physician tonight, I recommend omitting tonight's janumet until you reach a physician in the practice in the morning

If sugar level is above 120 before dinner, I will take it. If not, I will hold it for the peace of mind because the tablet should not be cut in half.
