Need more info: yIf you truly have MODY with a strong family history of the same, I would need to know what type. If type 3 (most common) the best treatment is not janumet (sitagliptin and metformin) (metformin and Januvia) but a type of drug called a sulfonylurea like glyburide. No reason why traveling 70 km should increase BG except if you are driving and snacking a lot while you driving.
