By date, i am 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant. i had an abdominal scan done and there is a gestational sac, yolk sac, but no fetal pole. is this normal?

Calculating age of pregnancy "by date" may not provide an accurate result of the actual date of the pregnancy, as ovulation can be delayed, and the ultrasound may be on a pregnancy less than "6w3d", which may be prior to a development of a "fetal pole". A repeat ultrasound in another 7-10 days may show actual fetal heart activity.
