A member asked:

Is a high level of progesterone in the luteal phase significant in anyway? my urine tests have been >30mcg/ml. im using the mira kit and this is higher than the chart accounts for. i know a luteal rise is normal, but this seems very high?

At age "40" , ovarian follicles require more stimulation by pituitary hormones (FSH) to mature to the point of ovulation, and this ovarian stimulation can result in multiple follicles maturing simultaneously, producing progesterone levels in the luteal phase which are high. This may not occur every cycle, and it is not harmful cllinically.
