Some studies have shown, as many as 20% of "MS diagnoses" were wrong. But usually, there is an over-diagnosis of NEUROLOGICAL disease when really the correct condition is PSYCHIATRIC. Gather that you have been correctly diagnosed, and being treated with a high efficacy drug which will control your disorder, you are taking adequate vitamin D, and your dietary and exercise programs are in place.

Because doctors aren't magicians or superbeings; and because no test is perfect. "Rules": 1) any new "psychiatric" illness after the age of 40, you need to look for organic causes. 2) It's very unusual for a 40+ male to develop MS. It's also true that a lot of people with psychiatric problems are misdiagnosed as neurological problems, often by themselves when they're in denial.
