Your girlfriend has been exposed to oral herpes and is more than likely infected with it. You are unlikely to transmit herpes to her genitalia if she already had herpes on her mouth.

Transmission is very unlikely. With your outbreak healing and taking valtrex, probably the virus was no longer present in amounts that can infect someone. Even if highly infections, fingering rarely carries enough virus to transmit to a partner. In addition, your girlfriend might already have HSV1 (like half of all adults in the US), in which case she is immune to a new HSV1 infection.
