Why should diabetic patient talk to their dr before taking magnesium supplement?

Magnesium supplementation of 250-350 mg per day, has been found to benefit both diabetes type 1 and 2. Ask your endocrinologist about the type and amount of Mg supplement to take, based on your state of diabetes.
