I had an emg done and had increased insertional activity in both of my arms and both of my legs. my symptoms are very bad muscle cramping in my arms and my legs with activity and movement. does this correlate?

No, your EMG does not provide answers as to why you have cramps. Recommend a second opinion from a neuromuscular specialist and get this diagnosed ASAP.

Unless you're dealing with injuries or overuse I recommend consulting a rheumatologist or ,as recommended, a neuromuscular specialist. Autoimmune polymyositis comes to mind.
