A member asked:

Dad, 85 yrs. lives alone in india. routine phys. with pcp today. cbc-eosinophils of 13.0%. last cbc in july 2021, eosinophils was 10.0%. other wbc indices are normal. dad is fine, healthy diet and ex bike twice daily. needs immediate investigation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, his eosinophil count per se is not a cause for concern. Wish you and your dad good health!
