A member asked:

My eosinophils and absolute count is high and also normocytic normochromic on cbc. wbc / rbc / platelet is normal though. does it alarm for leukaemia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, there is no cause for alarm. It would have helped to have the actual numbers. Eosinophil count may be high due to allergy, skin rash, and parasites.
