No drug is "safe" 100% of the time. So you need to discuss with your Dr your situation and the risks and benefits to you and then you can make an informed decision. I would also look at Drugs.com for side effects reported in placebo controlled trials in folks like you. They will have published the side effects in those on vs those not on the medicine.
