I've had resistant ringowrm for a long time. it clears up with oral terbinafine but comes back. dermatologist now ordered itraconazole tabs 100mg 2x daily for 14 days. i can't recall if she told me to pulse dose? she's out for the week so i cant ask?

I would follow the instructions on the medication label. If the dermatologist wanted to you take the medication in a certain way, she would have changed the instructions there.

The ringworm on my face is now becoming very dry and flaky, i've been taking sporanox, and using Lamisil (terbinafine) cream does this mean its healing?
I have had recurring resistant ringworm for the last 3 years. My doc treats it with 10 days oral terbinafine which works but then it comes back after 2 months. I don't have any immune problems. Now it's back & widespread. Why is this happening?
Just finished 14 days of Itraconazole capsules (100 mg 2x daily) for resistant ringworm. Ringworm faded but not gone. Doc RX'd 21 more days of this med at same dose. Given the possible liver damage from this drug, is it really worth taking? Concerned?
