Fusion: Start with a picture of the ankle. The subtalar joint is the one below the ankle. Often pts lose some motion of the ankle as well. Re check with your doc to see where the apex of the problem is. There is no way to reverse the stj fusion.

No: The ankle and the sub talas joints are two different joints. The ankle allows for dorsi and plantarflexion of the foot the subtalar joint allows for inversion and eversion of the foot. There is no procedure to reverse a sub talar joint fusion once it has been performed.
