You probably have internal hemorrhoid bleed, usually fresh blood and painless. A small bleeding should not cause any constitutional symptoms. You should make an appointment with your primary doctor but there is no urgency. Most of the time bleeding only occurs with defecating. In the mean time, drink fluid well, eating high fiber foods and keep an active life style to prevent constipation.

Blood in a BM is abnormal and should be checked by or reported to your physician. In your case a benign cause such as hemorrhoids is most likely since your stool itself was apparently normal.
