You do not have C. diff colitis after taking protonix just for 2 days. In fact, you have diarrhea due to a known side effect of this medication. You do not need Florastor, diarrhea will stop if you hold protonix. If you really need a PPI, you can try a different PPI such as prilosec or prevacid. If you take it for just dyspepsia or heart burn, you should take pepcid or tagamet.
