Not necessarily: They should resolve with proper treatment. A combination of medication and cognitive behavior therapy has the best outcome.

No: Panic attacks by definition are of short duration. However, some people experience several per day. With proper treatment the attacks can be managed and often eliminated. Consult a physician skilled in treating anxiety disorders.

No, Bref duration: Anxiety; rapid, pounding heart; chest tightness/pain; shortness of breath w hyperventilation; hot /cold flashes; butterflies in stomach, nausea or vomiting; tingling of mouth or extremities; ^ sweating; feeling faint or lightheaded; headache or shaking, difficulty swallowing or tight throat; they usually peak w/i 10 mins. Anxiety symptoms can include feeling nervous or irritable, muscle tension
