I had iol done (both eyes, toric multifocal). they won't give me tests, certs. about it. if the iols leave residual prescription, could i: 1) replace them with better iols w/out such documentation? 2) wear again normal contact lenses on top of it?

There is no reason 'they' will not give you your records. You are entitled to them. For other answers you have to see a Ophthalmologist .

medical release form and have the surgery center/ doctor release records Multifocal implants will will give you convenience over clarity. We don't worry about residual prescription unless it prevents you from seeing street signs, TV, IPAD, computer or reading your phone. The lens implants can be taken out but its difficult and LASIK to correct residual error safer
