My mother 55 years old is suffering from chronic schizophrenia for last 20 years ... she responds with antipsychotic with low doses but after 4-5 months , she stop responding the same antipsychotic even after the dose increase ....what is the reason?

It may not be the best medicine for her. Discuss with her Dr. be certain she is taking meds as directed. Or she may be taking other meds that affect how the meds for Schizo work.
