Can antipsychotics make schizophrenia worse? voices were much worse after meds discontinued. also can the brain heal its own minor schizophrenia?

No: Antipsychotics make the symptoms better/more manageable. If you feel worse, it could be side effects or interaction with other medicine you are taking. Voices better with medicine show you antipsychotics working. Schizophrenia is a neurological disorder, chemical imbalance, it does not heal itself but with consistent treatment, life can be productive, enjoyable with minimal issues. Take care!

No but...: Schizophrenia will recurr following discontinuing medication. The severity of illness increases with each recurrence. Schizophrenia is not described as minor.
