Not really: The problem with antipsychotics is that most seem to be much more effective at reducing postive symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions that negative symptoms such as loss of energy, social isolatoin, lack of motivation, and general malaise. So, patients have many few symptoms, but that may make them much more aware of how they still feel different than they used to.

Older antipsychotics: Did not so much increase negative symptoms as simply didn't effectively treat them. The newer antipsychotics can help with both positive and negative symptoms.
