A member asked:

How do doctors differentiate between retractile testicles and undescended testicles? at what age do retractile testicles stay down in the scrotum? at what age would an acquired undescended testicle no longer be possible?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Retractile testicle is that which goes up in the groin then comes back in the scrotum under certain circumstances.. Undescended is one which has never come down in the scrotum. Undescended testicle is not an acquired condition.
