You can't eradicate the colonized strep in your throat. You only need to take antibiotic if you have significant symptoms of strep A pharyngitis. Often, a large number of people who are carriers of the bacteria don’t need to be treated. And a sore throat doesn't automatically mean you have a strep infection.

You may need antibiotics if properly diagnosed, use of probiotics may help with the gastrointestinal symptoms. Make sure your treating doc is aware of your previous multiple antibiotic courses and their side effects.
