I have had cold sores for years. sometimes i don't have symptoms prior or i at least don't notice. the bump just appears. i kissed my kids cheek/head & husband but on his mouth hours before this cold sore appeared today. will they get cold sore now?

Unlikely the kids will it as they were kissed on the head/ cheek. Since you intermittently get cold sore avoid kissing children on the eyes or mouth or any mucus membrane(as can shed w/o symptoms). There may be some risk to your husband. How often do you get cold sores? If several times a year discuss with your physician suppressive therapy with Valacyclovir or even consider Lysine 500 mg /day
