On prednisone 15mgx5months(from 50mg). been feeling very fatigued lately,nausea,joint pain, stomach pain,etc. serum cortisol at 0800= 36nmol/l. my prednisone is supposed to be short term. is this cortisone level normal for being on prednison? taper?

Cortisol level is low because ACTH is suppressed by taking Prednisone daily. With this level, you cannot stop Prednisone abruptly and dose needs to be taper slowly for avoiding adrenal insufficiency. Your doctor will decide when you can taper and stop the steroid.
