Yes, tamsulosin is not age specific, used also in women with kidney stones for example. It is meant to relax muscles in the urinary bladder and prostate in men regardless of age. Hope it will work for you.

The cause of urinary retention has to be found for it is unusual at your age. It is o.k. to take it temporarily till the cause is found. Pl see a Urologist. Good luck
